When I thought of the sunken civilization of the Lake Atitlan, first I had a vision of the underwater world,
creatures surrounded by algae's, moss overgrown ruins, fragments of broken pottery from “tinajas”
… About 3000 years ago, when “Samabaj” was ruling the Tzutujil Maya world, I imagine that people have worn raw materials.
Therefore I decided to make unique costumes with the native plants from around lake Atitlan;
pelican flower, wizard's beard, air plants, lufas, lions claw, maguey and others…
which I took close care of and processed them for months to preserve their beauty, their smell, their spirit…. Just to try to embody the mystery of “Samabaj”.
Here, now and alive with creative imagination, the four elements are celebrated, the four cardinal directions remain embraced.
The art of preserving these costumes, makes them comfortable to wear and able to store for long periods.
My close relation with mother earth is focused on her fragile beauty and yet unbreakable strength.

When I remembered the sunken civilization of Lake Atitlan, I first had a vision of the underwater world.
Algae, mossy ruins, creatures surrounded by broken pieces of pottery,
... about 3000 years ago, when "Samabazi" dominated the world of Tsutsutsuji Il Maya, I imagined that people might be wearing raw materials elsewhere.
So I decided to make a unique outfit with native plants around Lake Atitlan.
Pelican flower, wizard's beard, airplants, loofah, lion's claw, magay, etc.
I have cared for and processed them for months to maintain their beauty, scent and spirit.
To embody the mystery of "Samabaji".
Here, living with creative imagination, four elements are celebrated and the directions of the four cardinals are accepted.
The technique of preserving these costumes is comfortable to wear and can be stored for a long time.
My close relationship with Mother Earth focuses on her fragile beauty and yet unbreakable strength.

Lets take a journey to ancient path, to a civilization that existed laying deep beneath lake Atit'ya.
Existing somewhere in between this dimension, that of a watery underworld “Panajbaj”.
This temple sitting sunken in the center of a sacred land where it's surrounded by volcanoes that breath fire.
The lost city Chuitinamit also known as “panaj baj” or Samajbaj was a place where many treasures and secrets remain undiscovered;
Where villages united to honor the Gods or Lords in a sacred ritual.
The ancient Mayans worked with special high form of magic and spirituality, they spoke with the stars at night.
Their preyers and wisdom, were of a different kind of knowledge, that we can only perceive in fractions when we truly connect.
These ancient Mayans had meetings with other beings (that you may understand as extraterrestrial) or beings of higher consciousness.
The kaq'chikel people still preserved these legends, one of those tells a story of three rivers that became jealous over falling
In love with a beautiful human woman named Tzi'lazty, whose heart belonged to another man of earth, a carpenters son.
This love affair enraged the rivers who were in love with her… And so, they called upon the help of the winds to bring her lover to the waters
Edge to drown him. Tzi'latzty could not bare to live without her love, and so gave her life away with him and they together became
The waters. This leads us now into the tale that became Xocomil (which means consequence of revenge). Present day on this particular area exist a strange
Whirlpool on the lake, that is called Xocomil based on this legend.
The rivers now enraged even further for what they had done, created chaos, calling upon the fires of volcanoes to erupt.
The fires burned up the rivers and the earth, transmuting them into what is today known as Lake Atitya (Lake Atitlan), in a result of drowning
This ancient city of Panajbaj (chiutinamit) or some know it as Sam baj, underworld mystery.
To these ancient Mayan people, the essence of the water, the trees, the frogs, were as important as the Gods and deserved the same respect.
The Mayas of the ancient past lived and entire existence communing with spiritual forces. Many deities, such as the great serpent spirit, the Imox,
And all creatures of the waters, stand as guardians and protectors, to this day of this ancient temple.
Just as the lands surrounding it are protected by the plant spirits, the tree spirits, the flower spirits, the Wizards beards, the grandmother stones, Ix.
A grand elemental symbiosis, is it possible to glimpse upon the wonder?

A place where villages unite to honor God and the Lord in sacred rituals.
The ancient Mayans worked with a special degree of magic and spirituality and spoke to the stars at night.
Their prey and wisdom was a different kind of knowledge, that when we really connect, we can only perceive a small part.
These ancient Mayans have met other beings (you may understand them as extraterrestrials) or higher conscious beings.
